And quite an appropriate sign it is too, it's a mighty small lane. I wonder what its history is?
Indeed. It also serves as access to the Mayor's garage - and really should be one-way; especially the angled bit that joins Linthorpe Street.

Also check out the old map here which shows it didn't exist in 1890, and only partially existed in 1895.
